Business Manager

After a successful career in the energy industry, Nima left the corporate world to help build, establish, and grow Bee Family Dental alongside Dr. Shiva and Dr. Shideh. Driven by a desire to build a family business, he brought his background in engineering, construction, management, and leadership to help shape the clinic’s growth, operations, and team culture.

Nima is passionate about building strong teams and creating a positive culture where team members can grow, thrive, and be at their best. He takes pride in supporting the growth and development of the Bee team and helping create an environment where both team members and patients feel valued, supported, and cared for.

Outside of the clinic, Nima enjoys spending time with his wife and son, staying active, travelling, and making memories with family and friends.

Dental Assistant

Born and raised in Venezuela, Ronna has been working in dentistry since 2010. She is passionate about her role as a dental assistant and takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit. As a dedicated team player, Ronna is always willing to support her teammates while contributing to a positive experience for every patient.

Outside of the clinic, Ronna enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. She also loves travelling, being outdoors, and watching movies.

Dental Assistant

Born and raised in Venezuela, Claudia began working in dentistry as a dental assistant at the age of 17 and has loved the profession ever since. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for, and her warm personality and contagious smile help put patients at ease from the moment they arrive.

Claudia is a hardworking team member who is always eager to learn and grow in her profession. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, creating special family memories, watching TV series, and singing karaoke.

Hygienist

Chris is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles while making their visits comfortable and enjoyable. He has a natural ability to connect with patients, and his welcoming personality and great sense of humor help put people at ease throughout their visit.

Outside of the clinic, Chris enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, movies, and escaping the city whenever he can. He also enjoys board games, poker nights, and exploring the microscopic and cosmic worlds through microscopes and telescopes.

Dental Admin

Originally from a small town in Central Alberta, Alyssa moved to Calgary a few years ago and has enjoyed exploring everything the city has to offer. As an integral member of our admin team, she enjoys helping patients feel welcomed and supported throughout their experience at Bee Family Dental.

Outside of the clinic, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her three dogs. She also loves movies, nature walks, swimming, and travelling.

Dentist

Dr. Greg Cahoon has been providing wisdom teeth extractions and IV sedation at Bee Family Dental since May 2026, allowing patients to receive these services in the comfort and familiarity of our clinic.

Dr. Greg’s passion for dentistry began at a young age, inspired by his uncle, who was also a dentist. At 21, he spent a summer working alongside him to see if dentistry was the right career. Watching the way his uncle cared for patients confirmed his calling, and one piece of advice has stayed with him ever since:

“Take your time making your decision, but once it’s made, go all in.”

He earned his DDS from Creighton University in 1998, practiced in Las Vegas for 15 years, and returned to Calgary in 2012. Today, his general dentistry practice focuses on IV sedation and dental surgery.

Another quote that guides his approach is:

“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”

He believes this is especially important in healthcare, where listening to patients and understanding their concerns are the foundation of exceptional care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Greg enjoys golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his family in the mountains.

Endodontist

Dr. Seema Basati, our endodontist, has been caring for Bee Family Dental patients since July 2025. She visits monthly to provide specialized root canal treatment, allowing patients to receive expert care in the comfort and familiarity of our clinic.

Dr. Seema practices with intention—where skill meets purpose and care extends far beyond the dental chair. Splitting her time between Calgary and New York, she brings a refined, patient-centred approach rooted in excellence and empathy.

Dr. Seema believes having a skill set comes with a responsibility, which is why she dedicates time each year to dental missions, using her expertise to help those in need and create meaningful impact where it’s needed most.

Her standard is simple: safe, pain-free care built on trust, where every patient feels seen, heard, and treated like family.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Seema enjoys travelling, baking, and spending time with her family—the moments that keep her grounded and inspired.

Hygienist

Genevieve is a passionate dental hygienist dedicated to providing gentle care and helping patients feel confident about their oral health. She believes prevention and education are key to a healthy smile and enjoys answering questions and sharing practical tips for at-home care.

Originally from Ontario, Genevieve recently made Calgary her home. Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking, curling, and discovering new restaurants around the city.
